A Flip Through Of My 2020 Bullet Journal

2020 is finally over and with it marks the end of my third year of bullet journalling (woop woop). I’m always being told that I should put more of my journals on the internet, therefore here’s a full flip through of all of the spreads of my 2020 bullet journal.

The Journal

My journal is an Archer & Olive A5 Journal with 192 pages. This is my first year using Archer & Olive journals and I have to say I am impressed. The paper is as thick as it gets (160 GSM), which has allowed me to use all kinds of markers and watercolors without experiencing any bleeding or ghosting. It was kinda weird to use it at the beginning because the paper is crisp white and I used to journal on cream paper but I have grown to love it as it makes my spreads look cleaner.

Design wise, it’s simply gorgeous. This year’s journal had a crescent moon and stars on the cover and if you’ve known me for a while, you know that’s all I need in a journal. The only down side that I have found is the fact that it gets dirty REAL QUICK. I have cleaned this journal more times that I can count to keep it fresh and new.

That being said, I loved it so much that my 2021 journal is definitely another A&O.

Spreads I enjoy the most in my bullet journal

1. Journal Cover Page

This is the first page of my journal and I love to challenge myself to create a page that translates my ” vibe” for the year. 2020’s idea was “no risk no magic”. I really wanted it to be the year where I pushed myself towards bigger things and to give up fear (lol, that didn’t exactly happen as we all know). The reason I love this page so much is because it always puts me in the “no risk no magic” mood every time I open my journal.

2. My year in Polaroids

I love to look back on all the highlights of the year. One of the things I miss about old times is the immortalization of moments that matter. My camera roll is full of screenshots, random selfies, books pages and old blogging pics. Other than that I often fail to find the moments that made me happy. Therefore, this habit really puts me in the mindset to capture more of that.

3. The Bookshelf

I find that spread so rewarding. There is just something about seeing a full year of reading materialized on paper. This year’s was especially pretty and definitely one of the most aesthetically pleasing pages of my 2020 journal.

4. 100 Happy Things

2020 was not a happy year for me so I needed to push myself to find beauty and happiness in the chaos. I love this spread because as I looked back on it I remembered things that I had already forgotten in December.

5. Gratitude Logs

This year taught me the importance of gratitude and the need to practice it on a daily basis. I often add a gratitude section to my weekly spread so I can remember to be grateful even on the most challenging days.

6. Brain Dumps

I am a huge brain dumper. Writing random thoughts on paper is a must before I can materialize it into a structured plan. I do this for bullet journal themes, videos to film, posts to write, things to check out, and more.

7. “Currently…”

I have been tracking the content I am loving/reading/listening/watching on a monthly basis. I find it so cool as it always transports me to what I was loving at that time of the year.

Some of my favorite pages

And that’s about it for my 2020 journal, but if you are craving more bujo content, no worries because I have a new post coming up about my 2021 journal.

Lots of Love Always,

Neguine
